The abstract submission for the 1st European Congress of Medical Physics is now closed.

The Congress Abstract Evaluation Committee is now dealing with the evaluation process of almost 500 submitted abstracts.
Acceptance of abstracts will be communicated to the corresponding author, by e-mail, no later than April 29, 2016. All accepted abstracts will be published in a supplement to the Physica Medica: European Journal of Medical Physics (EJMP).
Please note that at least one author per abstract should be registered in order to be included in the Congress program and the supplement to the Physica Medica.
In case of many presentations by the same author, another co-author should be registered for each abstract; otherwise the abstract will be rejected automatically by the system.
Kindly note that the Registration deadline for authors is extended till June 1st, 2016.

By submitting an abstract, authors agree to the following conditions:
- All authors have read, understand and agree to the abstract submission rules
- Each co-author has been informed of the abstract submission and has agreed to all information as it was submitted
- Only abstracts that contain original data can be submitted. Material presented in abstracts should not violate any copyright laws. Abstracts should not be submitted if the abstract contains data that has been published or accepted for publication elsewhere
- The submission of an abstract constitutes a formal commitment by the presenting author to present the abstract, if accepted, orally or as a e-poster in the session and the time assigned by the Congress Program Committee
- The abstract submitter is responsible for ensuring that all co-authors have agreed to be listed on the abstract
- The email of the first author can be seen by congress participants
- Final decisions regarding placement of abstracts and sessions rests with the Congress Program Committee and the Scientific Board
- To withdraw an abstract, a written statement reflecting the reasons for this decision must be sent to the Congress Secretariat by June 1st, 2016.

- Please follow the instructions to submit your abstract. Abstract must be in English, in word format, with a maximum of 250 words. Please use single space and an Arial 10-point font. Please do not include any charts, references or footnotes. Abstracts should be structured as follows: 1. Introduction, 2. Purpose, 3. Materials and Methods, 4. Results, 5. Conclusion. Authors should disclose any relationship that may bias their presentation. Please enter disclosure information into the disclosure field.
The Congress Abstract Evaluation Committee (CAEC) will make the final decision on the format of presentation (e-poster or oral)

It is important to ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as it will be reproduced exactly as submitted. If English is not your native language we encourage you to have your text edited by a native English speaker before submission.
Review, Notification, and Publication
- To ensure a high-quality conference, all submissions will be assessed by the Congress Abstract Evaluation Committee (CAEC)
- CAEC reserves the right to reject for presentation any paper that does not meet content expectations
- The contact author will receive notification of acceptance and presentation details by e-mail no later than April 29, 2016
- Final placement in an oral or e-poster session is subject to the CAEC’s discretion
- The submission of the abstracts constitutes the authors’ consent to publication. All abstracts accepted by the CAEC will be published in a supplement to the Physica Medica: European Journal of Medical Physics (EJMP)
- After the completion of ECMP 2016 Congress, a Focus Issue will be produced. The Issue will include up to 40 papers, by authors presenting in ECMP 2016. The Guest Editors, nominated by the Editor-in-Chief, will select the contributions suitable for the Focus Issue by the end of the congress and invite the corresponding authors to submit a paper with a deadline at December 31st, 2016. No uninvited paper and no late arrival paper will be published. After peer review, the papers accepted for publication will appear in the Focus Issue in the March 2017 issue of EJMP; all papers should be submitted exclusively via the EJMP website and should be no more than 4000 words in length, all text included.
The only accepted format for the e-poster is Microsoft™ PowerPoint™ files. Please limit your e-poster to 10 slides or fewer. All slides must be in landscape format (4:3). Videos are not compatible within the e-poster platform. E-posters will be displayed during ECMP on monitors in designated areas. Avoid having more than 6 lines of text per slide and more than 8 words per line. The text size should not be smaller than 24-points. E-poster submitters will receive an email with instructions after acceptance of their abstract.
